Getting Published Well–Not Quickly

I found a terrific essay by Jennifer Crusie on “How to Find Your Perfect Agent.” Her opinions resonated with me, and are helping me be patient.  I know from listening to my writer friends that “no agent” can, indeed, be better than the wrong agent.

In the mean time, I continue to query agents who I would most like to “interview.”  So far I have sent 10 queries.  Eight have not yet responded, probably because they have only recently received my query (I am such the optimist). One suggested I query someone else, without telling me who, and the other did suggest a specific agent for me to query.  While I wait, I need to polish chapter four.
